The story behind Forever Gone

Several people were wondering why I wrote Forever Gone (if you haven't read it go to the "tell me what you think blog"), I wrote this poem to truly understand the pain my father has been going through. I love him so much, but like all human beings, he has his flaws. He is a drug addict, and has had a hard life, and I need to feel what he feels to help him. This poem also reflects my pain, and how I have to see him like the man who has never grown, or been known everyday. Poetry lets me put the agony I am feeling on paper, and every time I write it, it is as if I am taken over by the inspiration and emotions. Enough about me though, I want you guys to write a poem and send it to me whenever you can. I will be glad to read the magnificent poems you make.

It sounds like you are being a mother to your farther? Drugs and booze are the worst things ever, But seem to help in a bad situation. At least you are there for him when he falls. Good on you.=)
