My name is Megan, but call me Mercedes. Korn has been in my life since I was three years old and I have idolized Jonathan Davis ever since. I am proud to say that this is one of the reasons I adore my mother, for being the person who took the time to introduce me to a type of music that opened up a whole different world for me. Since I was twelve, Korn has shown me that I am not alone and there are, indeed, many others who understand how I feel and what I've been through. This band is also the reason I have survived through everything that is considered 'bad' in my life. I can relate to their music on a whole other level, which has given me the courage to get through the worst and has even created a place of belonging, where I can be myself and feel at home when I have nobody else.
Honestly, I would have to say "FOLLOW THE LEADER" is my favorite album. However, I am very impressed with their new album "KORN III: REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE". Their dedication and hard work when it comes to their fans and music has more than enough proven that Korn will live on, giving all of us hope and something more to look forward to . . .
I simply cannot choose just one song as my favorite when it comes to this band, so at this very moment . . . "Inside Out" by Korn from their "See You On The Other Side" album is necessary.

I just NEED TO STOP thinking, in general. That's my problem and the reason everything that's wrong with me. When you over think, you overheat. When you overheat, you over hurt. I seem stronger than I really am. We all create that tough-guy disguise. We pretend we are invincible and try to fake that 'nothing can hurt me' mentality when everyone is watching . . ....

You shouldn't regret anything you post, especially if it's true and even has a moral to the story. A happy ending as well. Sharing experience and what you've had to deal with doesn't mean you're seeking pity, in my opinion. It just means you aren't afraid to show who you are, what you've survived through, and the fact that many of us have probably been through something similar in our lives. If you notice, a lot of people that I've seen on this website or spoken to . . . they all think of Korn as heroes, visionaries, and the reason they are alive today. Being through such terrible things does that to you, you can't expect to come out like a normal person when you've been abused and that's all you know.
Anytime, you are very welcome and again . . . I am very proud of you for sharing your story. Hopefully, I'm right there with you on that note. It would be an honor if we ever got to meet one day while Korn is performing a show somewhere in the world, just throwing that out there . . .
