The song: Tearing Away by Drowning Pool





In 2001 Drowning Pool made it big with their album, "Sinner." Less than 2 years later their singer Dave Williams was found dead on their tour bus, passing away from heart failure.
Dave Williams was already somewhat of a legend before he died. Dimebag Darrell from Pantera nicknamed him "Stage", because of his dominating stage presence.
"He was infamous for turning indifferent crowds into raving Drowning pool fans by the end of their sets."
David Draiman from Disturbed call him "The sweetest man you'll ever come across in your life. He didn't have a bad bone in his body, just very kind-hearted, very good natured, very genuine, always trying to make everyone around him smile."
This song, Tearing Away, is a relic in the music world along with all the other songs from Sinner. Part of my reason for picking it today is to highlight an irony that seems to exist to the metal world. Despite the talk of hate and aggression filled inside these songs, the people who make them are often kind and empathetic to the extreme, especially with their fans.
The line "I don't care about anyone else but me", was clearly a lie in the case of Dave Williams. R.I.P

The Joke: The color of God

Mommy, Is God Black or White?
One day Little Johnny walks up to his Mom and says, "Mommy, is God Black or White?"

She replies, "Well, Honey, God is both Black and White."

Then he says, "Mommy, is God a boy or a girl?"

"God is both a boy and a girl, Honey," she replies.

"Mommy, is God gay or straight?" he inquires again.

Getting a little irritated, the mother replies, "Well, Honey, God is both gay and straight."

After thinking for a moment, Johnny looks up and asks, "Mommy, is God Michael Jackson?"
