Hello this is my first blog im a new member but certainly not a new KoRn fan ive followed the band since 94 one of my first shows was Korn/marilyn Manson/Danzig in pa. I wanted to know if anyone out there has a mental illness and would like to share how korn's music helps them deal with it.i was diagnosed with auditory hullucinations in 03 or pschosis then became schizophrenic. To make Matters worse i was shot in the head in vegas as an innocent bystander in a gang shootout in 05.Im not looking for any sympathy just want to explain my background. As far as my schizophrenia. I hear loud whispers from the front part of my brain telling me nothing but positive things such as put out that cig orput your seatbelt on which i believe now to either be my deceased father or angels or jesus or all three. But the back of my brain is a much softer whisper which almost is like commands which speak things i dont wish to share rght now, i believe that part to be the devil or demons hence my name anjels&demons

J.D.s lyrics speak alot about what im going through and does anyone know if he has had or has schizophrenia. im now medicated and the medicine is working not like trapped underneath the stairs, but the whispers are just more manageable not gone. My fiancee is also mentally ill schizo-effective, w anxiety disorder and paranoia, i intriduced her to korn and she says she can relate too. well thank you korn and korn fans who read this

if anyone else has schizophrenia especially auditory hullucination type , and you wish to share please respond, or message me,

^ I'd be interested also. And as far as I remember, I think Jonathan talked about having hallucinations or something of the sort when he was on drugs, but don't quote me on that because I forget where I read it.
Anyway. I see you wrote this a while back, but happy to hear you were doing somewhat better, hope things have stayed that way or gotten even better for you =)

I don't have a mental health disorder. However, I am a therapist for children and adolescents with emotional and behavior disorders. I'm interested in hearing more about what it's like for you to have schizophrenia if you want to tell more.
