The influences of Korn.
I had responses from Brian Welch and David Silveria on FB, about bands that influenced the band Korn ... and what made me realize is that the Tool, Alice In Chains and Primus are their main influences in KORN sound :)

Yes, that's what Head and David told me;) ... it was true ... until Life Is Peachy, had a mixture of musical influences from Sepultura to Faith No More Primus at the Alice In Chains Nine Inch Nails with Pantera .. then from Follow The Leader began to mature with the sound, more melodies, Jonathan began to sing better then the first cd .. Issues experimental maximum! Untouchables is like listening to a mix of Korn, Depeche Mode and Duran Duran ... Jonathan, in 2002, had said that Untouchables have had many influences Synthpop / New Romantic in the cd .. then TAITM; .. cd heavier in their careers .. (in my personal opinion, is a bit of a rough draft of the first cd, but I really like;)) .. then as you say "CDU" after you have taken the plunge on a more industrial rock to NIN, with more melodies than older cd ...

I would say that is true of their first album. I can definitely hear Tool and Alice in Chains influence in the first album, not a lot of Primus but maybe that is more of a Les Claypool inlfuence on Fieldy's style so it only subtle.
From album number two they really develop their own style which in my opinion fully matured during Issues and Untouchables.
When Head left they changed a lot, I hear more NIN and Manson influences.
Latest album is a long way from their first album, I don't hear any Tool or AIC there.
It is cool to think how they have evolved.
