What Should Resume Look Like?

Your resume should look like a listing of your skills, work history
and educational history. This basically means that you will want to show your knowledge and skills in building your resume. You will want to show your work history of jobs that pertain to the new job you are applying to at the time. You will also want to include the top section listing your universities, training colleges, and high school that you attended.

What should not be added in the educational section of your resume is the date of graduation unless you are just getting ready to graduate or are a recent graduate. This means that you will list your schools information without the dates because it will date you and you do not want that to happen until you go there for an interview. This in particular is true if you are middle age or older as the job market is usually looking for recent graduates unless you are applying for an experienced position. Even then you want to be careful with your dates because a lot of employers might believe that you are outdated or need more training if your dates or too long ago in the past.

So a basic resume should be your name and contact information on the upper top portion. Then the next section will be your educational history with or without dates depending on your dates of graduation. The next section will include the work history and it should only go about 5 years back or if applying to a career position should list pertinent jobs and your recent most employer even if it is not related to the position. This will just show that you have been in the workforce and not sitting at home http://www.professional-resume-writing-services.com/resumeplanet-reviews/.
