does not believe that there is a place for head in koRn anymore, back in the day, i loved listning to head thrash it out, he left the band for his own personel reasons (as ridiculous as they were) he made his choice, he should now live with that

I, obviously, have no first hand information. I am a fan, but I think that it is much more likely that Head "guests" with KoRn than he rejoins the band because KoRn + Head back kind of limits the ability of KoRn to be so experimental. If Head comes back totally it's going to be all "Metal, Metal, Metal, sound like the '90's" and is that really where KoRn is?

And it's funny because, as much as people swear up and down that Head's solo material sounds just like old Korn, it really doesn't, at all. Either way Head is very one-dimensional while Korn are best when they experiment. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the band again but who's to say if the chemistry will still be there?

I have very mixed feelings about this. I am hardcore Korn fan. I have been for years. When Head left, it was crazy! I didnt know what was going to happen with the band. Since that time Korn has been, not only proving to the metal world, but to the Korn fans that they could do this without Head. Because lets face it, Head and Munky gave Korn a major part of their unique sound.

Head left, Munky stepped it up BIG time as well as the rest of the band did. They moved on. They made different sounds, but still held that Korn sound to them. They have made great music since then. Every cd they have released was fucking amazing!

Head since he left korn has made a couple cds, done some live shit and whatnot, which fucking rocked, outside the god stuff and whatnot, but none the less it rocked! I think Head would be awesome playing the new Korn style. Why not.... He is amazing on the guitar and it is not like it would be his first time playing with them. Him and Munky have been playing next to eachother for like fucking 20 years or some shit.

    So with that being said.....

Are you fucking crazy.... Give me some HEAD!!!!!

I think Korn misses Head's live presence more than anything. Fieldy just kind of looks like he is going through the motions. It's hard to get into the groove if the band doesn't even seem to want to do it. Put Head next to Fieldy and it would really liven up the stage and the sound. JD and Munky still do a good job though.

IMO IMO IMO *Flame suit on*

The direction JD is taking the band.....Head would not be a fit. I firmly believe POT is more JD's baby and the band is going along with it. ( so my friends in Long Beach Ca say) Head would be a fit if they were back to the basics with drums, guitars, bass and Vox. IMO again LOL The Head issue probably depends on how POT turns out and what they do after POT. Plus with all of Munky's recent comment I get the vibe Munky wants to be the main/sole riff writer.

On a side and completely different topic. But kinda relates to the guitar twosome.

I dunno why people hate K III so much (basing that one reading "other sites" . I think Oildale, Pop a Pill and Fear is a Place to Live have such killer riffs and tone. I loved Munky's new staccato guitar riffs. Listening to the stems Munky did a solid job of kinda replicating what Head would do in terms of background ambient guitar FX and melodies.

Everyone, or at least almost everyone, has been hoping for some kind of reunion with Head. Will it happen? Who knows, but it's always a possibility.

You know what? If Korn are willing to take Head back, then so am I! I kinda miss him in the band, and I think he could definately fit back in with the guys.

If they did another "rock" record I would love to hear Head back. I miss the old days with just guitars and the two of them together (Munk/Head) make a great riff song writing team. But with the dubstep stuff I dunno what direction they are going for future records. IMO I don't think he would fit in with the current direction. I think he would fit in perfect if they were doing straight up guitars, bass and drums as the meat of the song. Just my onions.

What direction? POT is a one-time thing. Just like pretty much all of the other Korn albums. They never repeat themselves.

Yeah I hear ya. I am not a big enough Korn fan to have realized that point (meaning have been an on and off fan since the late 90's....I kinda always fade out for a long time whenever a new Metallica record comes out LOL). I guess I thought with JD's recent interviews they were not going back to making rock records; and continue with the dubstep route. That he does not like the metal/rock scene and likes all the peace/love yadda yadda of dubstep shows etc.

If they make another rock record I think it would be great if the riff writing team of Head and Munky was back in full effect. I dunno I just get this bad feeling reading and watching all these interviews that KoRn is not going to be the same after this record. I dunno why. I gotta stop reading and watching all the press on Korn LMFAO.

i think honestly jd cant go forever, im sure hes very passionate about making music still, but the guys are alot older now. if head was to return( which id like to see but wont hold my breath) i feel they would do one or 2 more albums and call it a career.I'm praying this isnt the case, but the album is path to totality would a final album with head be totality, im just rambling on like a true paranoid schizo, sorry does anyone else feel like the end might be near for korns career

Korn should release Greatest Hits Vol. 2 next year, and then go on another short hiatus until October 2014. GHV2 could have those three songs they recorded last year, before POT was even an idea. "Sadist" was one of them.

Not really. But this album IMO will decide the fate or obvious new direction (or if as jdm says just a one time thing which I hope)

I just cuddle myself right now by listening and playing on guitar the old stuff. LFMAO

I think it depends on how well this album does. I think it's an incredible album and I haven't really like much of their stuff post Issues. If the album sells well and they can get some good live gigs, they will continue for a while. I don't think JD ever wants to quit. He just doesn't want to fade into obscurity. Kudos to him for being willing to evolve his sound to fit what's going on now without the music sounding like complete shit like most of today's music.
