Anybody who bashes Korn for being too "hip-hop" obviously hasn't listen to them. That's the number one excuse I see. They see that Korn is labeled as nu-metal, which by definition says it has hip-hop elements in it, so they think of Korn as rap metal or something. Yes, Korn does have a few songs (out of over a hundred) that have rap/hip-hop. But let's get this straight, Korn is a METAL band, not rap/hip-hop. They're just as metal as Metallica, Slayer, or any other metal band.

To me the whole nu-metal genre never made any sense. As I said earlier, nu-metal by definition has hip-hop elements. And Korn's debut album is considered the most pure form of nu-metal, yet where's the hip-hop in that? It's metal, 100% metal. To me, Korn has always been their own genre of metal.

KoRn is everything music SHOULD be, emotionally charged, fun to listen to, identifiable, I don't care how old you are you can't discriminate without making yourself look like a total idiot. I'm 25 and I've been there since the beginning they'll always be here because they're here for US their fans. It doesn't really matter what anyone has to say about it. I just recently attended a show and the place was PACKED with dubsteppers. I didn't mind because they were enjoying the same band I'm enjoying. so FTW and all the haters.

Most intelligent people don't care whether or not someone else loves the music they do. I don't get tired of the bashing by legitimate people who are really not fans of the music. Their choice is like mine. I love what I love and nobody can tell me otherwise unless I'm a total idiot.

KoRn being only for teenagers is ludicrous. Music is for the very soul that can relate to and enjoy the music they put into their ears. Regardless of age, sex, race, etc. I let my children listen to KoRn while I was raising them. OMG!! Yes. I did. I'm not ashamed of the music I listen to. They love KoRn and it was of their very own choice. Thank God for free will!!!

A lot of the Korn bashing is because Korn is very different from both metal and hip-hop, although they are a mix of them both. Nu-metal is something different and people of both those genres (Metal, hip-hop) are not use to it or do not want to give it a chance. Some just don't like the idea of the two being mixed. I for one love Korn over everything.

Had an arguement yesterday over this. Metal concerts= can't hear anything the singer sings, just a bunch of load, crap. Had to walk out. Hip-hop concert=Everyone on stage raps. Can hardly tell who the realy guy is. Too many people out there just yelling.

Now a Korn experience (not a concert, an experience cuz its mind blowing) is best of both worlds and an experience without the crap of both Metal and Hip-Hop.

After watching and showing others JD's interview about the Path of Totality album, it changes minds on why and how Korn went about separating themselves from the rest of the pack. Again others need to recognize artists at work.

I could careless who criticizes what bands I like. I'm not bothered by other people and their (mostly ignorant and judgmental) opinions.

I don't think anyone else should either. The people who come on these Korn forums (where fans should be) to talk shit about a band they don't even like are much more annoying and pretty amusing I might say.

People love to trash what they don't get or understand, unfortunately it is a part of human nature, when really we should embrace our differences cause if everyone liked all the same stuff and did the same things the world would be a pretty boring place. I'm almost 36 and love Korn (always will even when I'm 80), their level of creativity and talent is truely both amazing and genius!

I hate to break it but a lot of what got associated with nu-metal gave korn a bad rep when they didn't even deserve it or really associate come from the same place or act like the majority of bands that fit that genre.

Back in the mid 90's korn was never labeled mallcore etc... What can you do a lot of 12 year emo kids (which is dying breed now) will download away, shop at hot topicand relate to korn . You can't really change it and it's been going on for a while.

And it's true to extent korn were never a metal band. Infact most of the members previous bands were metal bands and when they were on MTV a decade ago like every other day it would piss off a lot people who play or are a fan of metal genres of music only because it was wrongly labeled metal music and korn will agree to this.

So comments should be taken with a grain of salt and not personal.
