Good question to me Wes is what munky and head would be if they fused together. He's experimental like munky and as heavy as head.

Both of them are really creative as a musician/songwriter also, it's a really hard question. I like Head better ofc :)

Hah, cool idea for a thread.
I have to say about Wes Borland: In my mind he is the only redeeming quality of Limp Bizkit. Not a big fan of that band, but Wes is just awesome.
As HHIGuy128 said, Jim Root of Slipknot is also a good candidate. That guy kicks ass. Definitely prefer him over his bandmate Mick Thompson.
I dunno. I know Korn involves a lot of trade-offs on the guitaring, but in my mind even though there are two guitarists it seems like they are together one entity. You can't really have Head without Munky, and you can't have Munky without Head. That said, Munky has done pretty damn decent for himself without him, except in Untitled his work sounded very uninspired indeed. -

Whether you like 'em or not...Korn is one of the most original bands ever. Without a doubt, Head. Wes is good too though.

i like head but im goig to have to go with Wes i like his solo stuff more cause it was darker and more different
i only liked a couple of songs on heads band L&D because head isnt like Munky or wes he deff knows more heavy riffs but just my IMO alot of guitar can write heavy riffs its he melodic riffs that are the next step up IMO -

I agree with you in most respects...Wes is Munky & Head combined in his style.

Guitar playing capabilities alone, Wes Borland, but as we all should know; a good guitar player does not always equate with being a good musician per se and many things should be taken into consideration to this question for e.g. the subjectivity of the question at hand. Personally, I prefer the riff capabilities of Mr Welch above Wes and Munky, with the latter being a great rhythmical musician in his own right. Both Wes and Brian are wonderful guitar players, but above all, they are great musicians.

Head is one of my favorite guitar players but I don't really even think it's close between him and Wes Borland. Wes is a feakin genius. Wes Borland hands down.
